Which is kind of a waste of the vinyl material as the rather thin PSX sounds don't really benefit from being on vinyl, but the illustrations are beautiful. For those who don't know, these contain the original PSX versions of the OST, same as the ones on the original multi-disc soundtracks released decades ago. Probably getting this one to complete my set of the two other PSX Final Fantasys. And at 85€ plus shipping for a double record it is quite the investment. That this has Amano artwork on it is nice but looking at it more closely this isn't a coherent piece but a more-or-less haphazard collage of his work. However, I already got the first three Distant Worlds (and will someday complete the series). I don't foresee those last four ever happening though. Now I just need to keep an eye out / hope for the following: Maybe I won't weep for my wallet if I keep reminding myself I don't drink or smoke.
